11 Ball and 11 Up


11 Ball and 11 Up were the first games I used Unity at Megatouch. You select any number of balls or cards that add up to eleven to remove them from the board.  It was awesome to get to learn the new 3D engine and put the 3D to use. Normally our games are all 2D, but I wanted to learn collision, physics, and the overall flow of setting up a game in Unity. We used 11 Ball first, but went into the project knowing that due to regulations on coin-op machines in some states, cards would be more appropriate, so I built the project to allow different assets for the main gameplay and different positions to spawn the board for each game type.
